#NYFW Day 4 - D to the K to the N to the Y. DKNY Fall/ Winter 2014

DKNY delivered today, from the New York City montage video showing on the large LED display on the background to which shifted to various colors. Then brought the real people on the video and real people modeling alongside models, showing some diverse flair and the true grits of New York City. Not only grit but the inspirational people that we see everyday, who have a knack for dressing up effortlessly.

The herringbone and mixed media black long peacoat, I simply loved. The layering and ubiquitous "NY" Yankees style hat.

Not to mention a shift to school wear, it felt like these are the really cool people you wanted to be friends with in high school or you were this cool in high school.

My favorite was the leather quilt sleeve letterman "D" jacket. This continued the lovely sporty vibe with the urban chic flair DKNY is known for.

The stripe and houndstooth, I would love to wear right now. Easy separate to wear, match it with anything.

I love a good duffle coat but mixing it with the fur vest over it, never thought of that, maybe a slim fit coat and bigger sized vest could work, otherwise I need a less bulky coat to pull that off, its so neat!

The fur details are to die for.

The menswear was on point too, looks like work clothing layered nicely or suits with a slim fitted flair.

One of my favorites of Day 4, hands down.  I feel as if I want most of the pieces right now, but there is months before that can happen. The sporty, urban downtown chic vibe still lives on and nobody does it like Donna.

  1. I can only wish that I was this cool and good looking in high school. That blonde in the all-black outfit is so beautiful!
