#NYFW 3.1 Phillip Lim - Structurally Geometric

The fashion stars was aligned for 3.1 Phillip Lim on Monday, the designer of the uber cool downtown vibe showcased once again that he is the best at creating pieces that could be worn cohesively together or be separate.

The tailoring and asymmetrical cuts and stitching to the various tops and dresses is so gorgeous!
Not to mention I love the short suit set in that satin embroidered detailed black.

Not to mention the easy silhouettes with exposed zippered, leather trims, a fitted bermuda pant shorts, and the capish sleeve tops. I personally love the bold shoulder but it looking gorgeous enough not to wear as a sleeveless. Reminds me of the cuts he does in his previous collections and that blue sleeveless top he introduced to the masses in his Target collection.

Especially loved the sheer, crosshatch and embroidered thigh high pants. I mean just imagine wearing those pants and mostly covering up everywhere else. Thats just fun in itself.

Love the cut, graphics, and pop out designs of the dress and top he created. Never seen this before and thats what excites me.

I don't know why but every time I see his designs I cant help but think it has a Dries Van Noten subtlety to it. Honestly, when these hit Barneys and Bergdorfs, I cant help but wait to feel the fabric and try it on in person. One or two of these pieces in my wardrobe can do wonders for my fun and casual chic spring.
