The rumor mill has been running rampant since Frida Giannini left (or was removed) from the Creative Director position at Gucci. It is speculated that Joseph Altuzarra, American Designer and Hedi Slimane of Saint Laurent (YSL) are the front runners for the position, but it would be nice personally to see someone in house who knows the aesthetics already to continue and make a name for themself but even with that in mind, its always fun to speculate who could fit in that position.
An Italian Designer themself, yes?
Hedi Slimane (Well because since he would lead YSL and Gucci like Tom Ford did year ago, I suspect this would be a big publicity stunt yet be an interesting and obvious choice)
Joseph Altuzarra (Epitome of Sleek, Sexy, and interesting silhouettes, plus a little Tom Ford inspiration you see there)
Some have been talking about Haider Ackermann (Namesake), Anthony Vaccarello (Versus Versace), and Oliver Theyskens (Theory/ Nina Ricci).
All fascinating choices and you could see them at Gucci but what else could be missing? Lets speculate lol

I am really going to miss Frida Giannini at the helm of Gucci. I love how she brought the 1970s back in a modern way. It would be interesting to see what Anthony Vaccarello would do with the brand; however, the other two designers listed here are so vastly different in their aesthetic that if either of them helmed the fashion house the strategy would certainly take a very different turn, as well.

Personally, my first pick would be to bring in Hedi. However, if they don't go with him... then go with someone in house.
