NYFW: Designer Inspirations circa Spring 2014

Derek Lam's inspiration looks truly lovely of a sketch. A basic loose tee with such an amazing lower half, kind of like a plaidish statement piece. The splotches of yellow and a relaxed silhouette, I can not wait to see how this equates into his Spring 2014 Line

Next we have censored "X" for Alexander Wang's inspiration for his Spring 2014. I can only thing of the red light district, kind of a secret society or somewhere desolate where the style is minimal and sexy.   The woman is mysterious and she is forever embedded in your mind. Another one I can not wait to see translate onto the runway.

Emerson's inspiration is the punk rock garden party. I for one love the idea of punk rock and a garden party making it a little more formal with such beautiful imagery and colors. Another good one to watch for.
Finally, Mara Hoffman and her brigade of bright complementary hues, her inspiration is "rainbow parade". I like how she stays true to her bohemian element while at the same time expanding upon that, it reminds of how Anna Sui's designs are unique and similar in terms of stitching and dress shapes but her inspirations varies.

New York Fashion Week commences today and official shows start tomorrow, so enjoy those presentations and get ready for the catwalk in T-15.
