#NYFW FW 2017 - Day 1 & 2 - Lowkey Affair

A lot of designers have elected to host smaller functions like presentations or send out lookbooks, forgoing the theatrical shows and using in budget productions to showcase the high points of each piece instilled in a photograph.

One of those designers was Rag &Bone, who went with celebrity fans, hollywood legends, models, and bloggers alike who are fans of the brand to represent small points of the continuing Rag&Bone aesthetic of solid separates worn in a cozy trendy way.

I am a huge fan of Rag&Bone Jackets in general, so this is solid!

Tadashi Shoji showed a Parisian romanticist inspired collection, usually one for the love of jewel tones, went floral and brocade this season backdropped against black. Shying out of the usual glam gowns, I love the touch of 90s glamour with a fur stole and textural play.

Next is the long awaited Raf Simons backed Calvin Klein Collection for FW 2017, ever since his leave from Dior as Creative Director to Creative Director of Calvin Klein Collection.

It is a far leave from the minimalist dream and vision that has dominated Calvin Klein Collection with suiting loves in black and white. This was an ode to Americana, a dare I say Gucci and Helmut Lang meets Lacoste dream it gave off.  But you can see Raf's vision clearly and I gotta say this was one of the best CK shows in years. This collection oozed cohesive Raf past and NY Fashion past with the present state. Thought this collection left out the NY cool I believe...

Love that middle camel colored long coat the most.
