Christmas: The New LUSH Family Portrait

So a big thanks to Lush Cosmetics for making my Christmas even more joyful than usual, as I used my gift certificate and went semi-wild. Lush is so amazing because not only are the products fair trade ingredients, vegan, and all natural but there are no harsh chemicals like some drugstore brands and is always a nice great smell! You can smell Lush from a mile away!

The babies! I did not like the store location I went to as the employees were into themselves rather than helping me out, but shout out to my favorite locations: SOHO and E86th St! The UES and Soho crew are amazing! I should have went to you guys but wanted to get these quickly and this store was nearby work! (And of course, the Atlantic City crew at the Pier, whenever I am on vacation you guys show me everything!)

I bought the Sakura bath bombs, one for me and one for a friend! The bath bombs are incredible, you just get your lukewarm water, stop up the tub, and drop one in. Magic happens when it dissolves, like a cracker jack bag, there is a prize inside (petals of fun).

Then got myself this RUB RUB RUB Solid bar, Great body scrub, smells great, the texture is not harsh, and the sea salt is a true buffer! Baby's bottom smooth anybody?

Then me being a scrubber, had to get this Sugar Scrub. Comprised of Fennel and Ginger. Who can go wrong with those herbs!

Then of course, not wanting a lotion but a nice massage bar to add to the mix, got this Pearl one! I love the feel of it. The smell doesnt overpower me like the Soft Coeur, that I had many years ago LOL, with the chocolate inside it. Plus it has that bubble tea look and pearl fragrance.

Then I couldnt resist this set, I was going to buy Rockstar since its my ultimate fav but then I saw godmother with it, and the associate that helped me, said godmother isnt offered alone, I figured I cant separate the twins, lets buy it and keep them together.

One thing I always love going into Lush is getting a sample of something that piques your interest! I went for the BB Seaweed initially but ended up getting a try of the Cup of Coffee and Mask of Magnaminty!

I tried the Mask of Magnaminty, it goes on pretty well, you can feel your pores being vacuumed out and a natural detox for the face. Dries on nicely, not harsh, and I followed it with my cleansing milk by Missha and Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. Not bad at all.

Now tomorrow morning if I can remember or the day after on Christmas Eve, I will give Cup O' Coffee a try, and I gotta say by the smell, I feel caffeinated already.

Blazer Weather

As per my other post, I also acquired two other blazers, I am on fire!

This Louis Ferraud number, a little bit of 80s shoulder pad action but its nicely structured in a boyfriend fit and goes great with a funky scarf and jeans alla Parisian meets Kate Lanphear.

And also found a J. Crew on the cheap.
Nice soft wool in a black color, very modest and au potentiale!

Speaking of the jeans and outfit potentials, my two items I would definitely pair just putting them next to the blazers, would be this Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mab Tote Bag in the dusty pink and my boyfriend ripped denim by Gap.

For Shoes, maybe a colorful pop by Lanvin, since they are black blazers. Dont want to look boring.

There is also my new Rebecca Minkoff Blazer i havent worn yet, waiting for the right time but sometimes there is no time, you just have to wing it. Heres to hoping that spontaneous moment comes soon.

Yep and shoes in rotation with these outfits that I feel can work nicely with it. A nice harmonious but quirky fun outfit. If I want classic, I can do it. If quirky, I can. New age, I can. European, of course.

To the end possibilities and how fun fashion and style can be, thats why you cant take it too seriously sometimes, there is a time and a place.

Music Thursday: Throwback to Skee-Lo

If anyone knows the 90s, it wouldnt be complete without mentioning Skee-Lo's "I Wish". Yes I saw the Refinery29 snapchat and am reminiscing to the old jams they had for their studio 29 party last night! LOL

Dont we all have things we wish for. Poor Skee-Lo wanted to be taller and a baller, to get a nice chick and good things going for him. Dont we all. :P

TBT: Atlantic City Throwback

Going back through my vacation images, this one resonates so strongly in me. The time when I was in Atlantic City and nearly rode in a helicopter across the city limits for the first time. Of course, my madre didnt like the idea, too risky. Maybe one day Ill finally take a ride, whenever that is!

Beeh's Christmas Wish List!

Christmas WishList!

Alot of unique things this year, nothing too extravagant, except for some big money items that are just lux and does not stand out too much. :)

Still wanting a Rag and Bone Pilot Bag in either small or large, I have a feeling this is the year. In either leather or that paisley denim and leather combo!

Then in with my new found love in spinning classes and the support to my already fitness and workout addicted self, a class pack of Flywheel spinning classes! Feed that addiction, healthy that is.

Then a Michele watch, I have always come close to getting one and then shutting it down but this time, I feel like the CSX with the tiny diamond bezel or no diamond bezel would be a great addition to my arm.

Then of course, this fitness addict needs new sneakers besides the past nikes, reeboks, and vibrams, THE UBIQUITOUS FLYKNITS!

And of course, you cant not like the quirky cute Alessandro Michele Gucci's Fur Loafer Slippers. Its like Chanel 2010 but a little sleeker.

A Diptyque candle, yes I know a bit repetitive on all of the lists out there but I love the Choisya scent ever since I went to Space NK and bought the Tubereuse and got the mini one, now I want the large one to burn forever. Hehe.

And a first in a long time, LOFT is starting to have some cute things, like this Cocoon Coat. :) I love the stripes, I am a sucker for it and the large shape, au potentiale.

The next three pieces are from AllSaints. First is the Mangla Wave Top, I love the pattern and sleeves, with the little cut out in the back, so edge. Then the Dahlia Sweatshirt, love the shape and texture to it. And finally the Carin Long Shirt, a bit on the expensive side but that silk is no joke and I love the boxy loose fit it has.

Finally of this exhaustive list, if you know my instagram and other posts, I love a good Lanvin sneaker. I need another pair, technically want but "NEED". :)

Santa, please! lol

Leather and Stripes: Outfit Post

Finally taking out that HM Leather Quilted sleeve long jacket, fall personal style has so far been going in a good direction. Definitely trying to wear more of my stuff instead of simply buying more that I dont need to pile on top of it. Of course if I do see something im 1000% sure about and could wear instead of love the idea of it, I will add it into the wardrobe. But I have been doing a good job about cleaning out and refocusing what I have going on.
Jacket: H&M
Jeans: GAP 1969 Girlfriend Denim
Top: J.Crew Striped L/S Shirt
Boots: AGL
Loving the ripped fit of the girlfriend denim by GAP, which isnt popular by some for the fit, but size up and its amazingly good. I love it with the suede boots I got by AGL, very streamline and edgy.

Nothing like Tweedy for the Fashion Needy

Going through both November and December style guides for the J.Crew lookbook and other old English 1990 sitcoms like Keeping Up Appearances, I have noticed how "Smart" they all dress and prim. It is proper with a little taste of country. And I have also noticed how many brands over the years emerged this as a trend and even deviated from it to add in a new age touch (Remember 2005?).

So anyway, I went hunting for a blazer like the Regents and Schoolboys that adorned the style guide pages, and found this bad boy!

By Harris Tweed, 100% Pure Scottish Wool. Quality that lasts for years, you cannot get any better than that.

And the button work!

I am imaging this with a pair of structured dark denim, a nice neutral sweater and a colorful scarf and statement earrings to keep it fun! And of course a pair of neutral converse or brown brogues to keep up the tradition of English country.

Honestly, I have never been more inspired by blazers, EVER. I used to be inspired by Chanel tweeds with their fantasy fabrics and trip resort collections but this one seems more solid and eternal.

Fall Inspiration

I love looking at my Pinterest, NY, Stockholm Street Style, and the J. Crew Style Guides, I mean you find the most amazing pictures and photo sets to be inspired by.

These collages I put together are no different, the leather, jewelry/accessories, the denim, the coats, the layering, and personal styles I really feel like these reflect how I sorta dress and what I love to dress like! Edgy with a little bit of quirk, a little bit of traditional comfort, minimal, laid back, and stylish integrity.

Mood Lately

Been studying and working hard at work, just going through the motions sometimes and glad im finally finding a balance. This is my favs lately:

Ive started to enjoy Lenny and Larry's Complete Cookies now for a few months, just in time for new flavors to grace our presence, the Birthday Cookie! I know they have Double Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Coconut coming!

And of course I discover Vogue clips, via June Ambrose and a friend of mine, who tries to emulate it, trust me Ive tried too, its hard. Especially that death drop, with the leg out, jesus.

Jeweled To A Fault

Another personal style image, I figured to do a high/low mix, with my glam fem sweater by LOFT with all of the trimmings, mixed with a pair of ripped denim and a glam sneaker! Not only sporty but feminine edgy as well.
This is basically me everyday, I always do this mix. And other days I go simpler.

Sweatshirt: LOFT
Jeans: Gap 1969
Sneakers: Lanvin

Minimalist to the M

Here is my try at a crisp trendy minimalist outfit with my own little touches, this is one of my favorites. Not only is it cozy and I felt nice and fashionable in it. I figured try simple and then add little jewelry, like a simple necklace, of course my cross necklace.

Sweater: J. Crew
Jeans: Gap 1969
Shoes: Chanel

Alber Elbaz & Lanvin

I am sure we have all heard about the fashion musical chairs happening over there in Europe, with Raf Simons parting Dior, Alexander Wang out at Balenciaga, and now Alber Elbaz out at Lanvin. But with Alber, whom I love so much, there is still much drama.

Alot of drama is brew still between the employees, Alber, shareholders, and the chairwoman/owner Shaw-Lan Wang. The details are too heavy to explain, but Wang is supposedly steering Lanvin in the wrong direction and Alber has told her this fact over the years and this build up led to his dismissal.

Of course there were good times and bad times between the creative director, owner, and others involved but it was a good 14 year tenure.

I always knew there was a weird reason behind why Wang was at the Spring 2016 show.

Alber will definitely be missed, I mean the glamour, elegance, fun, and fashion mix and love that shown through his work at Lanvin, pretty much brought it back from its 90s irrelevance.

Now even more rumors swirl that Alber is going to Dior and his new instagram account is him opening up to new media more and more. This is all too much, so all we need is some tea, chamomile, and to be strapped to a chair, just to get through all of this change.

Just In: Prada Dixie Car Cabbie Sunglasses

I swear there is nothing like China Green Tips tea from Starbucks, the new J.Crew December Style Guide (with the plethora of sweaters and parkas!!!), and my new Prada shades.

So excited about my new pair of Prada sunglasses, on a trip to Bloomingdales outlet, I saw them on the shelf and at 30% off, I just had to snag them. I gave my mother the other regular green car futuristic Prada shades I had, so these are a major upgrade.

I mean if anyone  remembers that Spring 2012 collection from Miuccia, everything was everything. I mean I love how retro and kitchy these are. They are a great fit and are a nice addition to any outfit.

Just In Love: Stubbs & Wootton Lobster Mules

After going through J.Crew's shoes and their collaborations  and looking at other whimsical things I love, I found Stubbs & Wootton! I knew they did a collab with J.Crew and always do some how but I investigated further into it.

It is one of those long time trusted Palm Beach brands like Lilly Pulitzer that is super cute, super cool, and will be around forever. I decided to get a pair of mules and give them a test run. And I gotta say, they are adorable. Some styles are bespoke and others are woven and cheeky in their messages.

I got a lobster because I wasn't feeling crabby. (Hehe)

So cute. Well made and are a statement in themselves.

Basically I am wearing these babies along with my other whimsical shoes and C. Wonder flats until the cold sweater weather comes back and wrecks havoc and chill on my feet. This week here is 60 degrees up to 70 and I am enjoying it. Dont get me wrong, sweater weather is fun but this break is nice.

Fun in 2 Ways: 1 Blouse - Refinery 29 Pick Old Navy Zip Neck Blouse

Once every week, I tend to take out all of my clothing from my closet, well most that I can get out before getting winded, and putting together looks, basically mixing and matching. One of my blouses that I have had for a year and never wore was this Windowpane color block Zip Neck by Old Navy, it was a Refinery 29 pick, when they had the collaboration style series with Old Navy, I figured its cute.

Finally, shopping my closet and trying to wear out my clothing more, came up with two similar but different itemed looks that really brings out my style with this top.

First one,
I paired it with a pair of denim ripped at the knees only and dark colored espadrilles making a simple but city-edge look, not as edgy as the next one but clean enough.

Jeans: Gap 1969 Always Skinny
Shoes: Chanel

The second one, decided to do a little bit more edge and deconstruction and added an even more distressed pair of denim in a lighter color with colorful sneakers. A bit more out there but awesome.
Denim: Gap 1969
Sneakers: Lanvin

And what I love is I can wear it with either pair of sneakers, both are fun so why not!

Thats honestly the best thing, shopping your closet and mixing and matching things.

Just In: A.L.C in Sound

Navigated over to Barney's Warehouse, the website version of it, in the first time in a long time and actually saw something cute and decided to jump the gun at 40% off and get it!

My new and first piece from A.L.C.

The Conlo Sweatshirt.

I love how form fitting it is with long slouchy like sleeves and the bottom of it, cant hang over but just rest above your bum! Thats the only downside. So black denim for slimming with this bad boy anyone?

Otherwise, one of my favorite new sweaters I cant wait to play around with!

OOTD: Solids and Textures

Havent done an outfit post in a while. Today I felt a bit more menswear inspired than usual and tapered it off with a bit of cool edge.

I have never worn my grey denim shirt but these days I feel as if I should start doing it more. Definitely shopping my closet these days.

This is not only a great way to do denim on denim but I love adding a playful color or texture play, and there is where my shoes come in!

Shirt: Madewell
Denim: Gap 1969 Ripped
Shoes: Lanvin

Jacket Envy: Isabel Marant Erika Tapestry Coat

You know its fall/winter time upcoming when all the fantastic coats and jacket with either embroidery, crisp wool and felt lapels come out of the woodwork. This time is no different for me but I have my eye on a classic one.

The Erika Tapestry Coat by Isabel Marant. I love the pattern work, the material, the aesthetic, and how many outfit possibilities this baby has. One may argue but it looks like another Marant-y parisian slouchy jacket but this one is an updated cozy and different design.

Dont you just love it. I mean the possibilities are endless. Playing with neutrals, a good Rag & Bone Newbury boot, hello?

This badboy is $725 @ La Garconne. The saving officially commences.
