Just In Love: Stubbs & Wootton Lobster Mules

After going through J.Crew's shoes and their collaborations  and looking at other whimsical things I love, I found Stubbs & Wootton! I knew they did a collab with J.Crew and always do some how but I investigated further into it.

It is one of those long time trusted Palm Beach brands like Lilly Pulitzer that is super cute, super cool, and will be around forever. I decided to get a pair of mules and give them a test run. And I gotta say, they are adorable. Some styles are bespoke and others are woven and cheeky in their messages.

I got a lobster because I wasn't feeling crabby. (Hehe)

So cute. Well made and are a statement in themselves.

Basically I am wearing these babies along with my other whimsical shoes and C. Wonder flats until the cold sweater weather comes back and wrecks havoc and chill on my feet. This week here is 60 degrees up to 70 and I am enjoying it. Dont get me wrong, sweater weather is fun but this break is nice.

Fun in 2 Ways: 1 Blouse - Refinery 29 Pick Old Navy Zip Neck Blouse

Once every week, I tend to take out all of my clothing from my closet, well most that I can get out before getting winded, and putting together looks, basically mixing and matching. One of my blouses that I have had for a year and never wore was this Windowpane color block Zip Neck by Old Navy, it was a Refinery 29 pick, when they had the collaboration style series with Old Navy, I figured its cute.

Finally, shopping my closet and trying to wear out my clothing more, came up with two similar but different itemed looks that really brings out my style with this top.

First one,
I paired it with a pair of denim ripped at the knees only and dark colored espadrilles making a simple but city-edge look, not as edgy as the next one but clean enough.

Jeans: Gap 1969 Always Skinny
Shoes: Chanel

The second one, decided to do a little bit more edge and deconstruction and added an even more distressed pair of denim in a lighter color with colorful sneakers. A bit more out there but awesome.
Denim: Gap 1969
Sneakers: Lanvin

And what I love is I can wear it with either pair of sneakers, both are fun so why not!

Thats honestly the best thing, shopping your closet and mixing and matching things.

Just In: A.L.C in Sound

Navigated over to Barney's Warehouse, the website version of it, in the first time in a long time and actually saw something cute and decided to jump the gun at 40% off and get it!

My new and first piece from A.L.C.

The Conlo Sweatshirt.

I love how form fitting it is with long slouchy like sleeves and the bottom of it, cant hang over but just rest above your bum! Thats the only downside. So black denim for slimming with this bad boy anyone?

Otherwise, one of my favorite new sweaters I cant wait to play around with!

OOTD: Solids and Textures

Havent done an outfit post in a while. Today I felt a bit more menswear inspired than usual and tapered it off with a bit of cool edge.

I have never worn my grey denim shirt but these days I feel as if I should start doing it more. Definitely shopping my closet these days.

This is not only a great way to do denim on denim but I love adding a playful color or texture play, and there is where my shoes come in!

Shirt: Madewell
Denim: Gap 1969 Ripped
Shoes: Lanvin

Jacket Envy: Isabel Marant Erika Tapestry Coat

You know its fall/winter time upcoming when all the fantastic coats and jacket with either embroidery, crisp wool and felt lapels come out of the woodwork. This time is no different for me but I have my eye on a classic one.

The Erika Tapestry Coat by Isabel Marant. I love the pattern work, the material, the aesthetic, and how many outfit possibilities this baby has. One may argue but it looks like another Marant-y parisian slouchy jacket but this one is an updated cozy and different design.

Dont you just love it. I mean the possibilities are endless. Playing with neutrals, a good Rag & Bone Newbury boot, hello?

This badboy is $725 @ La Garconne. The saving officially commences.

Welcome Fall: Perfumes and Scents

Now that summer is winding down into early 70 and late 60 degree weather, the time for scarves and sweaters has come, while still wearing a t-shirt at mild points in the day.

Of course, I have such a love for fragrances but in the fall time, there is something nice about wearing a good aroma that has a robust, musky, floral, and regal scent to it.

These are my favorites this time of year.
- Tokyomilk La Vie la Mort
- Tory Burch by Tory Burch
- Burberry My Burberry
- Hermes L'Ambre des Merveilles
- Cartier Baiser Vole

One of my favorite brands for fragrances is Tokyomilk they always make the best hand creams, fragrances and body washes in scents that are so enveloping and beautiful. La vie la mort is no different. It has hints of: White Tuberose, Cinnamon, Hibiscus Leaf, Jasmine, Cardamom.

Tory Burch fragrance is amazing in terms of having hints of: Neroli, Bergamot, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Peony, and Tuberose. Its so beautiful and easy to wear.

Then there is the Cartier Baiser Vole that has hints of Lily petals and Green Lily Leaves.

The My Burberry scent is so striking in terms of that bold scent that is timeless. The hints are: Damask, Roses, Patchouli, Sweet Pea, and Freesia. Its so long lasting and elegant.
And lastly, is the Hermes L'Ambre  des Merveilles fragrance, its one of my absolute favorites, not only is it a good amber scent away from the original des Merveilles parfum but its so crisp for fall. Its long lasting, mysterious, sensual, and such a woody, amber hint that is great for the fall.

I have more favorites to wear for the fall and anytime of the year but these 5 just feel right for right now.
