Nordie Finds: Green and Pony

I havent been to my Nordstrom Rack stomping ground in weeks and I gotta say the insurgence of items from the Clear the Racks, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, and other cold weather gear delighted me.
Looked at the Clear the Racks, it was quite annoying how nothing of substance or particular discount was interesting. Then went over to clothing, where I saw this gorgeous Andrew Marc leather jacket but stopped myself because I already have one in another style that is cuter. And this lovely warm black wrap with fold over lapel that was Rick Owens style, I put that back also.

I proceeded to head over to the sunglasses styles and looked at the items that were on sale, and saw these previous season Prada babies!! They were like the taxi ones I wanted and I love the green shade and fit. They were a steal at $29.50, so I got them. Plus the sales associate said I could take with any sunglasses case I wanted, so I picked an equally green case that fit it gorgeous which is by Kate Spade.

I lastly forayed into handbags where a lot of damage could happen because of the cute Marc Jacobs bags, not Marc by Marc but MARC JACOBS main line where there was a white mini purse and striped red and white leather carry bag. But I decided, next time i would sift through and make a great purchase but I went to the Rebecca Minkoffs. You see with Rebecca Minkoffs, I cant just buy the tri zips or Macs because I already own so many of them in different styles and colors, so it would have to be something extraordinary to buy it. I did see other nice totes and the Elle bag but decided that it would have to be another time.

I did find this gorgeous pony hair mini cupid for $175. This is my first bag purchase in a long time and I gotta say that I love it. I never had a cupid before.

Tory Burch Lover Gift Guide & Essentials

For fellow Tory Burch fans or those that know of a Tory Burch connoisseur, here is a guide that is a couple of really objectively lovely pieces that is new or is an old classic of TB. It includes clothing, accessories, and shoes!

Sometimes it quite obnoxious for ladies to have to suffer for fashion in the cold and this is why this list includes things unrelated to cold but is so cute but at the same time, things great for cold weather wear, that are in fact appropriate!

1) The Jade Reversible Coat here. On sale now for $247. I love how you can get to wear 1 coat in two different styles, basically two coats for that good price on contemporary designer. The graphics on one side and this sleek shiny black on the other side.

2) Robinson Micro Double-Zip Tote here. Its a splurge at $435 but the leather is durable and lasts. Classic Tory Burch this piece is but its a mini version to the original Robinson Double-Zip Tote, which I gotta say is my favorite Tory bag for traveling, school, or days when you want to be fancy or lug things. The mint color is a fun color to mix in with earth and jewel tones that fall and winter brings, so sometimes my fellow black army, its okay.

3) Kerrington Mini Cross-body here. On sale now for $185. Loving the print of the pony polka dot like variety on this bag, its a crossbody for the crossbody lovers, classic TB emblem on the front, and its durable in terms of weather.

4) Collins Fringe Bootie here. One sale now for $276. Available in light and dark brown. Great for cold weather in shearling, fringe, and suede, the holy trifecta for cold weather wear.

5) Claremont Tall Boots here. On sale now for $346. Great leather with quilted and smooth leather blocking. Nice and tall, these I have seen in person, the leather is luscious and we all need nice boots to not only look good in but its necessary for chilly weather.

6) Thea Zip Coin Purse here. Costs $115. Comes in a light brown, medium, to dark black. The leather is luxe and its usual for those wanting something more primp than their trusty Kipling nylon purse.

Lastly,

7) Babylon Metal Stud Earrings here. Costs $68. I dont think enough attention is on how lovely  the TB jewelry is, the silver metals, the golds, and the most amazing designs like lattice, stamping, and some how the Tory Burch insignia is somehow worked into it. :)

Trust me, I wanted to add so much more but I figured to keep it simple and include the most standout pieces that are available at the website right now :)

Like an Army Overcoat

This week here is so cold, its that time where you dont want to take the train but take a cab instead. Its that time you take a brisk walk down the avenues with loved ones and stop for dirty water hot dogs or roasted peanuts.

For me its the time when I bring out my coats, bundle up, accessorize, and feel like I am in a cozy blanket when I walk.

Earlier this week was no exception but I finally wore my Isabel Marant pour HM Multicolor Sweatshirt. I just love the fun effects of color it gives and it screams fall with its red and white mixture earth tones.

Not to mention, I wore my JCP Inner stripe Padded and Fluffy Military Utility Coat, its so warm, its roomy, cozy and you are so safe in it, that its like an army overcoat. Then added my favorite Gap 1969 Ripped Boyfriend Denim and Lanvin Snakeskin Cap Toe suede sneakers because of the neutral and easy fall transition color. Finishing off with my Rebecca Minkoff BF crossbody.

Not to mention, the pattern play between my sneakers and my sweater.

E-Commerce and Fashion: Targeting Consumer Needs and Money

I got say that e-commerce is the new media business model that I hoped that brands would succumb to after a while because just how long one can run on older principles and expect to get new consumers and fans of the brand. I mean you have to see social media as this booming entity and consumers from all over the world that still need to be reached, its sort of nice to hear this.

Bloomberg's Businessweek presented this same idea earlier in which, brands are targeting specifically the asian market through e-commerce and other means. I mean its great that e-commerce is on but I hope its not tailored to serve just one set of wealthier and shopping cultured set of consumers that Asian countries presents like China, Japan, and Korea but it evolves e-commerce as a whole so that all of us can have tailored specialities, live chat help, and other tools and a mass variety of stock statistics so that we can make informed decisions on what we want to buy from the brands when we cant make it to the store, or even order directly from an overseas luxury brand's store that may not have something in stock in our mainlands.

E-commerce when handled well is amazing and should be promoted through media but at the same time, it needs up keep from appointed managers and site moderators to accommodate customer needs and concerns.

I mean this is an important topic because sometimes the business of fashion is just as important as color theory, fitting, high-low mixing, haute couture, and cutting edge vision. I mean think about it, if something is made, how can the world know about it?

Internet and other media. The New generation is here.

Fragrance Love

Fragrance Love
I, for one, am a sucker for fragrances. I love how expressive they are, what sort of mood or occasion you can combine it with, and not to mention, the notes and artistry in design and design of the bottle goes into it. With that said, I probably shared my fragrance collection on this site a year or so ago, but since then it has exponentially grown.

But this fall, I feel like these fragrances are so my mood and vibe right now:

1) Michaels Kors Very Hollywood

2) Gucci II

3) Dolce and Gabbana Rose the One

4) Donna Karan Cashmere Mist

5) Tory Burch Fragrance

6) Anna Sui Sui Dreams

7) Flora by Gucci

8) Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

9) D&G 14 La Temperance

I mean all of them represent a different identity but it they are so luxurious and amazing that I could not do without a spritz of each.

I will share my opinion of the newer released one which is the Tory Burch namesake fragrance. She recently released her own perfume and I gotta say it is amazing, received the sample when I purchase my earrings and cosmetic bag from the direct website. It came out around September 2013, so it has been a year. The notes are swirls of grapefruit, currant leaves, citrus, cedar, sandalwood, and musk. I think its such a hit and not to mention, the bottle design adds to the value. Plus I am a sucker for sandalwood, if anyone knows sandalwood, it such an incredible hint.

I honestly want to know everyone's favorite fragrances or if you like any of these. What notes you find to be more your style or have affinity with. Lets talk fragrances!

ShopTiques : Amazing Collective!

I discovered Shoptiques when I was online shopping and looking through different ETSY and bonanza shops, not to mention Yelp, trying to figure out where I can get unique clothing styles and all of the cool kid clothing. (Cant believe I just said that)

Was discovered by Olga and team when in Paris, they saw the loveliest pair of shoes and went back to the states and wanted to go back to the same boutique but thought of featuring all boutiques across the world and nearly every state of the United States.

Its basically curated pieces from every boutique, for any girl who wants that unique or cool piece for a good price. Basically, you do not have to do world travels to get nice things or feel as if you are missing much of anything because you can shop any boutique from your computer.

Its a really smart idea. But my only thing is, is every L or XL, the same L or XL somewhere else. If there is a measuring guide provided by all boutiques, not just a site standard one, then that would be amazing. But if they found a way to give a range if they use a site unified format, for every size between boutiques, then that would be awesome. :)

Check them out here
