Stripes on Stripes

With fall in orbit now, I find long pants and stripes the way to go! This was my last wear out of sandals, mainly doing flats and sneakers now.

I thought that breaking the rules in terms of optics in outfits was necessary. I have never worn a print or textile on a textile but these contrasting stripes. The top underneath being white in majority and grey stripes with a striped sweater with a mostly navy blue majority with white stripes.
Top: J.Crew
Sweater: NY&Company
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Pants: Gap (Coated Black)
Sandals: Cole Haan

Btw, these Gap Pants are sick. I mean it is in fact coated, so I can still wear denim with that coated leather looking effect without having to shift uncomfortably in leather leggings or pants. Well fitting and virtually goes with anything. Get it here, its on sale, so you guys are lucky! I bought mine at a higher price (with having a GAP CASH COUPON LOL!)

Roommates Season 2, Episode 4 (Episode 24): What I loved

This episode we get to see all of the SK celebrities and idols alike come visit the Roommates, normally I dont do show recaps but this was the best episode of all time.

I loved the impromptu dancing, Guk Joo is really a great dancer! Such soul, such flavor.
I liked the field picking for that special root, you can tell the roommates are getting a bit more comfortable with each other.

Not to mention, the manners guests have and how comfortable they felt in the guest house~
Not much of Nana since her birthday was celebrated.

No Dong Wook Lee either :(!

But as per usual Sunny and Ryohei got a bit closer for sure, she was considered about his constipation.

Pocket Affair

I have always been a fan of utility style clothing, things with pockets, and this casual look style that I can create from that standpoint, hence the title of this post!

I love the neutral chambray shirt hue with the skinny cargo pocketed dark beige, and a cute floral bag and shoes for fun. I like channeling city but at the same time look like I am on a vacation with my accessories.
Shirt: Madewell
Pants: Gap Skinny Mini Cargo
Bag: Vera Bradley

Jewels in School is Cool

At the time is winding down from the heat to a more cooler atmosphere, there is nothing like a nice pullover linen sweater with some ripped denim for casuality. I love how easy going this outfit is, not to loud for just attending lectures and but great when you are out after classes for hanging out shopping with a friend or going for some dinner.

Top: J. Crew
Denim: Gap 1969
Backpack: Il Bisonte
Sneakers: Lanvin
Bracelet: Pandora

And the most important thing about jewelled collar pieces is to keep the neckline clean with a simple chain since the jewels are the statement already. As you can see I am a sucker for quirky, clean, eclectic, comfy styling.

Amazingly Simple and Sparkle

I am never usually a fan of white pants because I hate checking for spots and what not but I got these pants really cheap and they are long bootcut fitting linen pants. They are so luxurious that I decided to prep it up a little bit. Adding a nice leather crossbody, not too big, a nice fun bracelet, and a striped oxford button down shirt with sneakers, makes this girl seem casual cool.

Sometimes you just need a dressup and dressdown outfit that looks really smart.
Top: Gap
Bottom: Poetry
Bag: Tory Burch
Sneakers: Converse
Bracelet: Pandora custom

If you can see the sparkles on my sneakers, then you know I just had to add it to the outfit. Hence the title lol.

Diesel Ad Campaign Fall 2014/15

For me this sort of resurrected Diesel, as I have not nor other people havent really thought of the brand in a long time. Loved this campaign done by Nicola Formichetti and Photographer Nick Knight.

It sort of has a jetset feel like the Michael Kors ads but this takes it a step further. It brings on a sense of fantasy with denim, synonymous with Diesel's long standing fame for denim. It is as if saying, we can still be cool and look cool against all the odds.

Its just so visually amazing to look at.

Casual Linen and Tencel

Just getting in my last few days of a mild fall/ cool summer with this Gap Tencel Denim Shirt and Gap Linen Shorts. I love the colour mix and pairing it with a fun print bag. Wish it was like this forever.

In life things are getting much busier and I am even more tired these days but the minor discomfort now will pay off in the future.

Shirt: Gap 1969 Tencel
Shorts: Gap Linen
Sandals: Old Navy
Bracelet: Pandora customized
Crossbody bag: Vera Bradley

Charlotte Free for Chanel Fall 2014/15

Charlotte Free is the face of Chanel Eyewear to model that pretty in pink fierce hair in contrast to those eponimously cool sunglasses.

Just look at her wear the rebellious fantastic tweedy classic Chanel shape. Especially how the jacket is rolled up makes me want to wear it. This definitely appeals to a wider range of audience, probably people 15-16 and up. Dont you want to rebel deliciously?

Alexander Wang x H&M : Sporty Spice and Everything Nice

As all of you may know the Alexander Wang for HM collaboration collection has been teasing us for a while until we finally got images of the anticipated popular pieces. I noticed it was some of the best sellers all the way back until 2010, when he gained notoriety. While some is even inspired by the latest fall 2014 collection.

Image: DesignScene.net

Overall, the excitement still exists while some of it has worn off. People are not necessarily sporty type but if the material and price is good for it, they will most likely bite. As for me, I am in the middle. I am not necessarily a fan of the commercialism "WANG" all over the place but a couple of key pieces, I really do admire from the images and would love to see and buy in person.

The middle neoprene coat I believe is $349, but do not quote, I have to fact check that. And that textured sweatshirt, I hope they are not too bulky because I am a fan of those.

And the cutout top (not shown) and dress are really cool. I think Id want to see how they did in person and evaluate if it will suit me or not.

I would have to say Alexander Wang I will always love and should continue to do his thing because if he is inspired by a high fashion sporty affair, its his signature. Though, it would be really cool to a more mature focused sporty edgy affair like from his Fall 2010 collection, which was my absolute favorite.

Official Release Date is November 6th folks. A month and 4 days to muster up that bank account.

P.S. - I wonder if his niece Aila Wang will have her own collaboration piece from this! Because she is soooo cute~
