Fall into Coats and Jackets!

Again, I enjoy fall and dressing for fall, I do initially miss summer when the wind chill hits my face. The one thing I really like about fall is coats and jackets. I always love to see the runway coats, the coats in stores, the coats and jackets of what everyone in the streets are wearing and adapt what I like and whats comfortable for me. This brings me to my favorite place, Nordstrom Rack.

The thing about being a Nordstrom rewards member is, you always end up going to Nordstrom Rack for new things! This time around I got two really awesome coats! One on the left is Michael Kors and the one on the right is Betsey Johnson. Both were under $100 individually and I had a nordstrom note to use!

I love the parka, quilted, leather, tweed, zippy types of coats!

The other coat purchases I made during the summer earlier is these two. The red jacket is a Ciao Milano Jacket, easy anorak, satin lining, and its a lovely vivid red color. The grey wool hue jacket with the yellow lining and black leather detailed collar is vintage Tamotsu New York.

I love the way I can dress them up or down depending on my mood or the occasion.

And of course, I went to Off Saks 5th, to try the past season Burberry Prorsum Coats and Jackets. I am forever in love with these two babies.
And yes, the grommet jacket is heavy but manageable. Just dont carry a heavy bag, thats all LOL.

I know myself, and my other coats in storage. This is not the last of my coats. With my new Burberry Stancross coat, that I will do a model shot in for this week's next post, I think I might have a coat addiction. :(

Envy: Son Jung Wan Fall '14 Jacket

On the blog, I cover quite a bit of information about Son Jung Wan and every collection she comes out with for the autumn and spring months. But I can never forget the collection thats supposed to be for this autumn/winter. The technically, snow white, retroactive spacey minimalist pieces. The pieces that challenge your regular all white outfit or all black outfit.

Just a few touches here and there and BAM! Urban Space Warrior ready to go to dinner at Mercer Kitchen or deal with mergers and acquisitions. Which brings me, to my lust over this Wool and Calf Hair Jacket.

The lining of the neck, the carefully constructed separation between tail and main jacket, the lame innards of the sleeve. Just an overall lux piece that I need for my fall. Its the definite cross between cozy and knowing you can wear it with confidence.

Blake Lively's Preserve

We have another celebrity blogger/ website owner in our midst! Blake Lively, one of my favorite Chanel Faces and from the legendary CW series Gossip Girl, launched that Gwenny Paltrow like website called Preserve.

Website launched finally, check it out here.

Lively talks about experience and wanting to showcase different backgrounds to add to this experience that we can all relate to or find some sort of solace by reading it. Not only is the website adorned with ethereal images and the supposedly a fresh breath of air. But it has a section where purchases made goes to charity and funding initiatives to help others less fortunate.

So I guess we finally know what she was sort of doing when she disappeared into her married life, only attended some events, and was not really seen out and about.

Personally, will this be another saturated blog that tries to open our eyes but instead asks us to open into the lifestyles that will be shown and try to emulate that? I dont know. We will just have to keep tuning in.

The design is quite dark, a little too dark for my taste. But, I do like that there will be different focuses. The shop has purchases to different foods, earthenware, jewelry, clothing, etc. Not a bad start.

Fitness and Fashion: Tory Burch x FitBit

I never knew this was on the radar but this is exciting! Besides all those Nike loving sneakers looks and the Net a porter fashionable fitness wear sections of their website, the foray of fashion into fitness is finally coming into fruition with technology.

Tory Burch has teamed up with FitBit to release golden T embellished jewelry fitbit trackers and stylish namesake Silicone FitBit Flex Tracker Bracelets. So for all of the fashion girls and girls in general who find other trackers and the original fitbit too boring, colorful and stylish fitness accessories can match you're outfits and it would not be blatant that you are tracking your steps or counting cals burned.

See them and get them here! You have to buy the tracker and jewelry accessories together in order to use it. :) Definitely looking into this.

Fitness and Fashion has come a long way from Chanel's Logo'ed Tennis Racks to Anna Sui Fit Flops.

Fashion: Coach's New Direction

Check out the new story over at Racked here, they said it well about new Creative Director Stuart Vevers new direction of Coach. Combining classic Coach with an artistic feel and effortless cool chic in bags, accessories to the Coach girl.

I concur. I love the ads and I cant wait to see them in the Fall Glossies but here is a peek. Shot by Steven Meisel.

Coach Fall 2014 - Image by Racked/ Coach
As indicated by Coach's Fall 2014 Presentation back in February, these babies will be nice to carry this fall and the future of Coach is looking exciting and not at all stale. The layoffs and store closures I hope will even out over time and the overhaul of Coach will stabilize. Good luck Coach, forever a fan.

Summer Essential: L'Occitane Angelica Face Mist

I have got to say that summer is really going by fast and it's still really hot on some days. I understand the need to wash or douse your face in cold water, god willing I know. But whenever there is no sink around, I always have my Evian Water Mist nearby or even better, the Angelica Face Mist from L'Occitane.
Image from L'Occitane.com

The full name is French and its called "Brume Rosee Du Matin" Hydra Vital Face Mist. If thats not fancy, I dont know what is. You can buy it here for $16.

Anyways, I love the nice floral and fresh scent that comes from it and the way it hydrates your face, even when the sun streamed down on your face the whole day. It eases the redness and makes you feel comfortable. L' Occitane also has the matching exfoliating gel but I haven't tried it yet. I will soon and do a review on it.

Looks from Valentino Resort 2015

I love how Monsieur Valentino is such a classic designer and know what looks amazing on women's bodies, or bring out the femininity and beauty in all women of all shapes and sizes. I for one am in love with his dramatic designs and how they can be fun and flirty at the same time.

This particular collection, being the Resort 2015 collection, I love the versatility and fun associated in it.

It is kinda of an English Romance in the Country meets City girl in the country.

The red crochet lace dress and the milkmaid braids reminds me of a Polish/European maiden.

The way you can take any dress out of this and wear it for any function or event is awesome. Its a very European style of dressing where you will always look put together to go the store, go to the galleria, go to the art museum, and going to work.

Once again, Valentino, you've tempted my heart. I might try to re-create the first look with the floral skirt and bomber.

Music Monday: Daft Punk

Im taking it back to 2001, with this classic Daft Punk track, I think we have all heard this by now.

Since I have been working out alot more since the start of the year and with 2 weeks left of Insanity by Shaun T, this song has been helping me push through.

Now play it "ONE MORE TIME!"
