Style for Style: Tom Binns Alice in Wonderland Jewelry Collection

We all heard this news a year or so ago but it still resonates as something I admire even now. I recently bought an Alice in Wonderland Tom Binns Disney Couture Pair of Earrings, which are divine, awaiting them in them mail.

But I just thought that the divine collection Tom Binns created was extraordinary. My favorite piece is this intricate Key hole pendant shape with some intricate beading and little frogs, crowns and other little brass pieces on it.

Another goodie is this Wonderland tea cups.

Another gorgeous piece, the bracelet of various victorian style florals and trinkets.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Episode 1 Summation and Review

Two nights ago, about 11 million viewers tuned into ABC to see the world premiere of Agents of SHIELD, the new Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon (writing) and company directed show and produced with the help of Stan Lee and Joe Quesada of course. This was the first television show since Dollhouse, Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer that Joss Whedon had some direction on. Besides his expertise in the Avengers movie.

We open to a woman in trouble and an unidentified supermale (Mike Peterson) saving her life and Agent Coulson who is alive, meeting with his assembled team, including the other chip on the shoulder Agent Ward that is new to the team and kicked ass in a foreign country.

Hint of a romance or flirtation between him and Skye? Tv element indeed but I can sure as hell see the chemistry.

Main agent of shield is a team of 5 (with the almost addition of super blogger and computer hacker analyst of secrets Skye). We soon learn of a rising tide group that has special access to create super weapons that are synonymous with what was happening years ago and Mike Peterson being an out of work factory worker signed up and got this caterpillar green technology install to him. We soon learn that he is in danger from being caught by the Agents and the rising tide wanted to deactivate him, the same lady he saved was his manager that helped to install that technology onto him.

Super blogger Skye finds all of this out and attempts to save him but instead she is taken by the agents and is asked to cooperate, none too nicely by Agent Ward who apparently cares nothing for her. Her witty banter is bit like Whedon's Buffy. I find nostalgia in that sense.

Him and his son are the only ones left, Agents try to find him and his son. But soon after Skye cooperates and goes to her van to hack, Peterson comandeers the van with her and takes them to the train terminal, where the showdown happens.

A team personnel from the rising tide along with Peterson's former manager decides to eliminate him by shooting him to death or the device will make him explode into bits. The agents realize the explosion potentiality and try to save him (if its not too late) and his child.

He is shot twice, once by the opposing foes and once more by marksman Agent Ward to deactivate the explosive device on Peterson, saving everyone from the explosion and saving Peterson. The little boy gets to have his father again but not before staying with his mother who left them previously.

Agent Coulson makes a suggestion to Skye to join the team within ten seconds, while the flying car takes them off to headquarters and onto the next case to deal with.

Overall, the energy was high in the beginning then stalled in the middle but not before picking up in the end, overall I like the witty language, technical language used, and the Mike Peterson Solo speech. One of the best moments of the show. Some parts had you gripping onto your seat to see what happens next, alla Peterson being shot by the opposing creators of the technology that was installed by them.

I mean bringing the Marvel Universe onto tv is a big thing so lets see how it goes.

Collab Fancy: Isabel Marant For HM Collaboration

As we have all been awaiting the Parisian chic, long silhouettes, aztec-navajo prints and form fitting pants of the great Isabel Marant, has teamed up with chain fashion powerhouse HM for a collection that is worthwhile and filled with cozy and colorfully executed pieces for both men and women.

The lookbook starred the superstar models: Alek Wek, Milla Jovovich, Constance Jablonski and Lou Doillon.

Here are some of the pieces that I am currently coveting and saving for as we speak.
Images: Vogue UK

Stayed true to the natural aesthetic of her main line and now to showcase isabel marant for both men and women. I am truly excited about this one as I was for Phillip Lim. I like how the designers stay so informed and involved with the collaborations instead of coining their name and have nothing to say about the structure, materials, or placement of composition.

Set up the date fashion mavens, November 14th. I will either camp or trek to every h&m on the same day. Hahaha.

Fall into fall: Shoes Edition

Whimsical Boots and Shoes

I am a sucker for boots and different designs on boots and shoes. Here are some boots and a loafer that I believe are so whimsical, sexy, edgy, feminine, and a classic look.

1. Fendi golden studded suede ankle boots. 3 inches of goodness, not too high to heaven and yet it has a glam parisian style where you can pair them with a fedora and a white silk blouse.

2. Markus Lupfer Polka Dot Boots. Not exactly doc-martens combat but you can combat style with crimson sequined polka dots. A fun part to any outfit.

3. Charlotte Olympia Fashionably Late Patent Leather Flats. I love the white and the little whimsical clock design on the top.

4. Saint Laurent Patti Military Boots. I love the strap on the top of these lace up boots. The form is beautiful and such a nice take on the classic military boot by Slimane.

5. Steven Madden Cinch Suede Booties. Open side booties inspired alla Balenciaga, I am so excited about these booties. Its a nice new design and pretty neat to see such a edgy buckle desing with a pair of boyfriend denim or flirty dress (alla Charlotte Ronson).

6. Steven Madden Tarnney Boots. I love the black studding reminiscent of Christian Louboutin's studding style and quite a fashionable and edgy risk on a classic shape of these boots. A personal favorite of mine.

7. 3.1 Phillip Lim OTK Boots. I love the strap in the back of the upper calf area. The leather stirp over the knee, very horseback riding esque yet when pair with a long coat its quite the looker.

Any other Fall 2013 boots you guys are in love with or like? Let me know, I am curious!

Phillip Lim for Target Launch!

So today at exactly 8 am or early morning on the internet site, the Phillip Lim for Target collection launched online and in stores for the masses. I heard via Racked and Twitter all of the pandemonium. The pushing, employees being a piñata for the bags, and the clothing left in large size troves or some gone completely.

I have visited the web, the bags are either available in stores or sold out in certain colors. But clothing or most is available except that "BOOM!" sweatshirt.

You can still place orders but mostly likely if there is no available inventory anymore of it, then it will be cancelled probably like Missoni for Target, to be honest.

For my self, these babies I am going into store to see how they look and especially these darlings I have my beady eye on:

I mean 710 listings on ebay, we all knew that was coming.

Stay Tuned loves, I will update on real time photos~

Happy Bidding~

Fashion Coats of Fancy

Fashion Coats of Fancy

Im such a sucker for a good coat, I mean not only warmth and fuctionality but it terms of design. These piece are great at design, fun, and how you can pair them with pieces you have.

Top left coat: Burberry - The classic gabardine coat with the leather trim buckles at the wrist, such a creative twist on the classic trench, Christopher Bailey.

Top middle coat: Kenzo - The growth factor of this brand again is truly amazing, I can see why, its so vibrant urban yet fashionable. Plus the idea of tiger swimming around the coat, I like to wear jeans with that shake thanks. The hooded parka is so fun and young looking.

Top right coat: Marni - The large printed floral of a rose done in such hues is nice, very subtle floral for fall/winter. Love the boxy shape as you can be feminine yet dress it as edgy as you may want. Plus coats like these are great for layering.

Bottom left coat: Isabel Marant - The fall fashion runways pointed to leather and shearling still being in our orbit so why not put them together. This sleek coat is a fall winner. The paneling and minimalist nature of it, I need!

Last but not least, the bottom right coat is by Valentino RED. Talk about classic Valentino doing florals thats nothing new but to print screen it with silk is so luxe and so feminine. You can always revisit spring and pair any fun pant suit or dress with it.

We all have some fall coat shopping to do!

#NYFW Art Institute of New York Seniors and Alum Spring 2014 Collection

Always a fan of emerging to-be designers, these bugeoning creative minds from the Art Institute of New York comprise of seniors on the verge of graduating paths to careers in design and others are alumni of the school.

Here are the 10 designers and their looks:

In love with crisp color block and linear progression.

Men's trousers are tailored to perfection.

Second line features monochrome with a hint of snazzy casual dressing with some room to spare.

Bright summer with crisp hues of jewel tones, streaks of printing looking like an abstract painting.

Finishing off the bold round colored sunglasses with a shift dress with beckoning arms. Quite chic.

You asked for Spory chic with geometrics, you got it!

You asked for simplicity with the occasional stripe and well tailored smart pieces. You've got it.

A little bit of boho city flair, the vest with crop top and full skirts.

The twist of leather and harness to finish it off.

Daring asymmetrical hem lines on the skirts.

Headdress, the safari print like on the skirt sides. Bold yet neat.

Liked how this line highlighted mustard yellow in contrast the monochrome black or white minimal outfits.

Quite simple yet stunning as separates. The new Vince perhaps?

Dare to go avant garde with wearing your trench coat half off your body. Or shimmer with brown and pale yellow silks. Very fluid and feminine.

If this collection does not scream Haute Couture in Paris I don't know what does. The bold styling, the stitching, the pirate esque design in accordance with maiden outfits.

Drama!!
