No Birds in Sight

Feminine with an edge, ode to these YSL pre- Saint Laurent era, where these cage booties came out back in 2009.

No birds to put into these cages, tweety bird will have to find its own cage. These need those fashionista's feet, well I am hoping for my own feet.

So edgy, sophisticated, and yet sexy. You can pull it off with anything. Im thinking a pair of boyfriend denim from GAP, a band tee circa Pink Floyd, my utilitarian jacket, and a cat ears beanie.
If only I could find these babies, and they are hard to find!

Musical Friday: French Hip Hop

Throwback to 1998-2000 years, Logilo or Dj Logistik he can be called as the beats maker and producer of some of the most amazing music I heard. I did not realize that when watching the movie Seventeen Again, the Mowry sisters version which i adore, his song "Me and My Crew" played during that scene. I thought it was absolutely perfect. The rhythm, pace and all of the song is so classy and has that french vibe. Well he is a french man known for creating the sickest beats.

I find vintage music better than some of today's music. Some of it feels unnatural or has no true vibe like this one.

Rebecca Minkoff has my heart

Rebecca Minkoff Favs

Summer is almost over but it lives in Rebecca's line. Excuse me for trying to squeeze out more summer vibes before September.

I remember seeing these in person at the Rebecca Minkoff S/S 2013 Fashion Show, the cali vibe Luis Blouse and the ever popular Rio pants. Not to mention seeing the Blonde Salad herself carrying a customized version of the Camera Bag. I still find these items can be transitioned to fall and winter if your into that or if your smart about earth tones and mixed media sweaters merging with the outfit.

The other RM things that are exciting include the Sting holo style bag, the woven tote, mini cupid bag, and the gold link bracelet.

I am for sure going to buy the Rio since its on sale at her namesake website. I mean a dip dye top and fading length printed pants are genius. When you look at them, its like taking a picture in one of the vignette settings.

What a motif! Room Decor Ideas

I am going to be moving soon, I would love for my new room to be better than the last. Instead of basic, I would love to mix it as if its an adventure or caravan through the far east. As if your taking a journey from Japan to England. Like a diffusion of all cultures and yet not be tacky. So from the Kansai  region, to the scandinavian element, the french victorian to the olden rustic times of England.

Some of my ideas and things I have found, though I cannot afford some of it, I will probably find things similar to this or try to re-create it via Nate Berkus gene I have.

This Eastgate Chest by Ethan Allen, here. I absolutely adore the rustic looking wood with an americana finish. And the knob are so oldfashioned.
These set of pillow covers are from H&M, pretty good sale going on right now here. I feel as if I may invest in the pillow cover phenomena because you can always change them unlike some decorative pillows.

 Cute face, isnt it?

For my desk, this really cool Dachshund Letter Holder form Anthropologie, here. I find the idea of investing in office decor and supplies really fascinating. Instead of a letter stack why not make them classy.

These stacking wooden trays, feels like im in a library again or secretary filing area. Find it here at Anthropologie.

This lovely handpainted Architecture Chest, I love anything hand painted and I love the black background against the foreground. Find it here at Anthropologie.

This german design with japanese influence, I love the minimalism with the hint of culture. The headboard is very unique though.

Gorgeous Forest Canopy Bed. As if my bed is in the woods, an ethereal woods where Britney Spear's Curious commercial comes alive. Find it here at Anthropologie.

To hang some things or my coat of the day, this Marquee Letter Hook. The K must look fab!

To further travel along my caravan, the Aziza Crewelwork Pillow, where every fiber tells a story.
Here

The Sari Throw

The Ombre Velvet Pillow

Anna Sui visionary like Bath Mat at H&M, here.

Copper Tea Light Holder, great for nightstand, here.

And of course to round off my IKEA love!

The Hopen 8 draw dresser, I love the black and glass elements to it. Minimalist indeed.

For my billy bookcase, I might add glass doors to give it a shop store touch. This is where Ill store some novelties, my bags, and a couple of nice cozy knits.

And this mirror from Ikea is quite the knockout!

I also am in love with the idea of stacking old time trunks or suitcases because they feel like I have travelled, which is what I love to do. Someday visit almost everywhere in the world. The various items you can put on them, your alarm clock, lamp, plant, keys, glass of water, and a decorative plate with jewelry, why not?

Well lovies, I will update more on this caravan adventure of decor, lets see how I do this.

A look into Gottex Resorts 2014

I really do not want summer to end, neither does Gottex swimwear with their new Resort 2014 line.

Look at that boho chic cover up with the rich red, purple, and black hue tones that reminds me of Genie from Aladdin, rich tones. The fringe touch to it, I wish I could wear that to the beach after a bodyboard session.

AT&T with Tribeca Film Festival / Submissions

Thanks to Guest of A Guest

ATandT NAMED NEW PRESENTING SPONSOR OF TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL®

Free Day of Screenings, Increased Integration of Technology and Innovation
to Serve as Pillars of Partnership

Festival’s Thirteenth Edition to Take Place April 16-27, 2014

New York, NY [Aug. 5, 2013] – The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) and ATandT today announced a new multi-year deal naming ATandT as Presenting Sponsor of the annual festival. The international event  ̶  co-founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff  ̶  also announced the dates of the 13th annual festival, April 16-27, 2014, and the deadlines for submissions, which are detailed below. Now in its second decade, TFF celebrates global filmmakers – from American independent voices, to established directors from Hollywood  and around the world – and explores the technology and trends that represent the future of storytelling.

“ATandT has incredible passion for innovation, culture and community – the same values that have driven the Tribeca Film Festival since the beginning,” said Rosenthal, co-founder, Tribeca Film Festival. “Our sponsors provide critical support and enhance the Festival experience for filmmakers, the community, artists and industry, and this collaboration with ATandT will allow us to bring new experiences to audiences and forge new connections between consumers and filmmakers.  New York and the downtown community have always been at the core of the Festival and we are delighted to have the support of such a terrific corporate citizen so deeply commited to our city and storytellers.”

In celebration of the new sponsorship, which commences with the Festival’s 2014 edition, ATandT will present a variety of public programs, including a new initiative in which ATandT will host a day of free screenings for the public. ATandT will also sponsor one of the Festival’s pillar community events, the Tribeca Drive-In® series, which welcomes thousands of visitors each year to free outdoor screenings of new movies and beloved classics on the Hudson River.

“The Tribeca Film Festival has become one of New York’s most iconic annual events thanks to the vision of its creators, whose passion for both film and the vibrancy of New York City are unmatched. We are so excited to take on the role of presenting sponsor and to marry AT&T’s innovation and technology leadership with the wonderful creativity and imagination of Tribeca’s storytellers,” said Cathy Coughlin, AT&T Senior Executive Vice President and Global Marketing Officer, AT&T Inc. “We will make this the most interactive film festival in the country, where visitors not only watch movies, but experience them in ways they never imagined.”

“Our relationship with ATandT reflects a shared commitment to New York and the cultural community,” said Robert De Niro, co-founder, Tribeca Film Festival. “We’re very grateful for their support of Tribeca.”

I believe that ATandT showing support to the arts by these means is great, it is not only giving back to the community but that the idea of a technology innovations giant such as themselves can show support to those up and coming and has the goals and trends of the Tribeca Film Festival at heart. Not to mention free screenings to the public is also a major factor for this year's festival. I mean such exclusivity is great but public opinion on films and constructive criticism helps to motivate the vision of the arts sometimes and the artists who create it. Just the idea of someone else watching or seeing your work you may be able to inspire them to create their work of art.

Also for you filmmakers, TFF’s programming team announced a call for submissions for narrative and documentary features and short film entries.

Deadlines to submit U.S. and international films for the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival are as follows:

Sept. 16 –        SUBMISSIONS OPEN

Oct. 18 –         EARLY DEADLINE: FEATURES, SHORTS AND TRANSMEDIA                                                    PROJECTS

Nov. 29           –         OFFICIAL DEADLINE, ALL FEATURES, SHORTS AND                                                     TRANSMEDIA PROJECTS

Dec. 27 –          LATE DEADLINE, AVAILABLE ONLY TO FEATURE LENGTH FILMS COMPLETED AFTER OFFICIAL DEADLINE

Starting Sept. 16, submission forms and complete information regarding eligibility for the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival will be available at www.tribecafilm.com/festival. Questions regarding submissions may be directed to entries@tribecafilmfestival.org or by calling 212-941-2305.

So for all you film watchers and movie goers, this is for you~

Givenchy in my mind

I have been so in love with Givenchy since 2011 when Richardo Tisci completely revamped the brand and made the infamous rottweiler and religious iconic vs, ethereal themes that have grown to be so popular and edgy.

Thinking of buying one off ebay. So much iconic tees I have that goes well with boyfriend denim or my cargos with glam shoes or converses!

Plus the nightingale bags, i love the various colors, the size and slouch, and the various trims.

Design in Film: Armani/Casa in Paranoia Flick!

For all you fashion buffs, when you go to see Paranoia out in theaters soon, look at the apartment that Hemsworth is in.

Giorgio Armani worked with production designer David Brisbin to incorporate Armani/Casa in key moments throughout the movie with its minimal, yet rich, decorative elements. When the up-and-coming businessman Adam Cassidy, played by Liam Hemsworth, moves into a new, luxurious apartment, signature pieces from the Armani/Casa collection are used to enhance the setting.

David Brisbin declares: "It was a pleasure dealing with Armani/Casa because Mr Armani speaks our language of story and character. When we talked of Adam's apartment needing to exude both power and grace, Mr Armani got it and knew immediately what to show us from his impressive collections of furnishings."

A little bit about Paranoia that is coming out in theaters, I will be watching, will you?

Newsies at Tribeca Film Festival - The Good House

FILMNATION ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES RIGHTS FROM JANE ROSENTHAL TO NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER THE GOOD HOUSE

ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS MERYL STREEP AND ROBERT DE NIRO ATTACHED TO STAR

Jane Rosenthal and FilmNation’s Aaron Ryder and Karen Lunder To Produce

New York, NY – August 6, 2013 – FilmNation Entertainment has acquired the rights from Jane Rosenthal to New York Times Bestseller The Good House by Ann Leary.  Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Cunningham is set to adapt the project. Attached to star are Academy Award winners Meryl Streep, who previously collaborated with Cunningham on The Hours, and Robert De Niro, making this the fourth film Streep and De Niro will appear in together.

Rosenthal will produce and Berry Welsh, VP of Production, will executive produce for Tribeca Productions. Aaron Ryder and Karen Lunder will produce for FilmNation. FilmNation partner Steve Samuels played a role in bringing the project to FilmNation through his relationship with Leary.

The Good House is a wickedly funny look at denial, told through the eyes of Hildy Good (Streep), a New England realtor and not-so-recovering alcoholic whose perfectly compartmentalized life starts to come apart at the seams when she forms a new friendship with Rebecca McCallister. As Rebecca becomes the subject of town gossip, Hildy rekindles an old flame with Frank Getchell (De Niro), a tell it like it is Yankee, who tries to uncomplicate her complicated life in this darkly comic and strikingly authentic tale.

FilmNation’s EVP Production Karen Lunder said, “We knew right away with Jane’s and Michael’s demonstrated talent and Ann’s bestseller that we have the opportunity to create something truly entertaining. It is undeniable the authenticity and chemistry Meryl and Bob will offer us as they bring these characters to life.”

“Ann Leary has an intoxicating voice and created a truly original character in Hildy Good. When I read the book, I was only sorry it ended - but so thrilled that we'll be able to bring it to the screen with Meryl Streep as the irresistible Hildy,” said Producer Jane Rosenthal. “It's the perfect project to work on with Michael Cunningham and we are excited to be doing this in partnership with FilmNation, as they were equally passionate about Ann's characters.”

Streep, De Niro and Cunningham are represented by CAA. Leary, whose booked was published by St. Martin’s Press, is represented by Sylvie Rabineau.

CAA’s Laura Walker brought the project to FilmNation’s EVP Production Karen Lunder, who will also produce. The deal was brokered by Alison Cohen, FilmNation's EVP Business & Legal Affairs.

I for one am excited about this piece of news, it should be interesting to have such actors attached to it and since Ive read this book, I cant wait to see how it translates through the director's vision!
