Ciao, Fashion Star!

So today, we say goodbye to NBC's Fashion Star, the show that gave rise to instant fashion being available on websites and in stores the day after it aired the infamous brand and designer battle.

To be honest, this does not come as a shock to me. I loved the concept of the show and it kept my interest in the first season but then it started to de-glamify and faze out. I do like the idea of mentors but I wish they more so focused on the designers like Tim Gunn-esque wit and advice and less on the mentor's glam factor.

I mean ever since Elle and H&M left, it has not been the same but I really cant wait for more fashion design competition shows like this, its a good idea but they need to perfect it and keep the ball rolling. We need to hear more about designers after the show, which is another problem for me.  Oh well, Good luck!

Wanted: The Perfect Fitness Tee

Its summer and everyone can either laze around, go do fun active activities or both. Me I like a little bit of everything. Take a couple of trips to different places, live an active lifestyle, and become a little bit competitive at group fitness classes.

Which brings me to my point about finding a good gym or fitness shirt to workout in. Not only is moisture wicking incredibly important but also breathable tees that are cool looking and send a good message.

Ocean Ave - Yellowcard : The Style

Okay, so, I have really attached this amazing song by Yellowcard to my summer playlist and lets just say it has been on repeat!

When you listen to the song it has a summery vibe like fall is near or your in fall remembering the summer you spent with friends and that special someone that your no longer in touch with. I became so enamored with the aesthetic of the song that I feel like an outfit such as this matches it perfectly.

Ripple with Proenza

While we summer park and beach goers brave through this humid and thunderstorm laden summer, why not recreate water with blue hues and an easy tee like the Proenza Schouler Tie Dye one below.

Isabel Marant for H&M : Round Uno

You might have heard this news from all fashion and executive industry circuits but Isabel Marant for H&M, is generating so much buzz. I for am excited because the design aesthetic behind Marant's Parisian cool chic look that seems like a girl throws on anything and walks down the sidewalk looking amazing and has french lounge mix music buzzing in her ear.

What she creates is simple garments with extraordinary details, can mix and match and find your own style out of it.

What id love is a jacket like this from her Autumn 2013 collection to be created in her H&M, not only will it be a universal piece but its solid. You can dress it up or down, business casual or coffee time by the espresso bar.

Now my fashion colleagues, let us speculate what she may unleash on us this November 14th.

Classical Style: LV Saumur

Such a classic Louis Vuitton bag style, the Saumur. Its double sided with a buckle strap on both sides.

I love the classic monogram, the crossbody style, the stitching, the westerner style look, the spaces but the only trouble would be what to put in both sides of the bag! Hehe.

Just got her recently as a gift. Vintage piece. I love the oxidized leather, great touch no?
