Resorts World Casino NYC- We came, we saw, and we never conquered....yet.

So welcome to "ResortsWorld Casino" in Ozone Park, Queens is more like it. An insigna from the Genting Group invites you to come down and check it out. So thats what mother and I did.

It was quite an adventure in that icy snow mini storm, finding your way around the new Resort and old Aqueduct stomping grounds. Parking was funny. Luckily we got very close and ran in!

Welcomed inside, we arrived on the Saturday, day after it opened. Up the escalator, colorful lighting from the machines and a massive tv that could put the Grand Central Terminal train listings to shame.

2 hours later we are still in there. Playing many different games, different denominators. Almost Every machine I went on, I got a bonus game and bonus spins kicking. I wish the fishes were biting!

Sex and The City Machines were all full and taken. Cougarlicious, a bag copy, was unentertaining!

I loved the atmosphere overall and most of the games. Wish they had Eagle Rock though. But I digress.

Only the first floor was open. Due to continued construction, the 2nd floor phase will be open to the public in December. Im excited!

Later, on a roll from these...

We decided to get food. The food court is not generic by anymeans. Every booth had a specific food series and then I saw the mother of all. An Authentic Wolfgang Booth To Go. they had gourmet Chicken Fingers with Fries (Sweet Potato I chose mind you).

I even took it to go. At the machine.

We are all trying to win on Power Strike.

My face when leaving the food court, obviously I was very comfortable in my seat.
I went donning my yellow Pink for the Cure Long Island Lacrosse Series tee, My Disney Tower of Terror Heather Grey Zip up sweater and my H&M Militia Jacket in Navy.

Overall, I see myself coming here alot rather than up in Mount Vernon and Yonkers, for Empire City Raceway.

mindfully tough with some leather & patterns

So I was in Target recently, in search of workout gear (no surprise) I had my blue sweat-tech hoodie and wicking capri pants ready then I made it over to the casual wear and outerwear section. I nearly died. The workout stuff long disregarded, I immediately went to the fitting room with these three pieces. The leather moto, the pattern overhead sleeve sweater, well 2 of them.

God its a good price of $40 bucks. So much I could wear it with.

TOUGH. Outsiders should be careful of me. Haha, or better yet I want to join Darry and Ponyboy.

I love the quilted shoulder detail. That is my absolute deciding factor. Moto quilting.

With my sweater....

The sweater with the patterns. Omg. It so smooth when to try it on and very weightless.

Here is a pic from earlier in the week, after my space fall clean up. I found my Calvin Klein Leather Cuff!
Necklace is an old Chanel find. Mother's own but she does not know! Haha.

And thats all for now, til something else shiny or detailed will catch me attention (Irish accent).

Ciao,

Days with the kiddie!

So recently, I have been delving into more and more school work and at the same time, seeing my small second-cousin with her little play things.

Such nostalgia about Elmo, and Playdoh. So I decided to join in the childhood dream fun. Such innocence and yet sass.

A snake!

From overview, it looks like an adidas sneaker being in quicksand. *Such imagination* *snaps fingers*

Elmo! He can talk, wiggle, and such with one little touch to him!

Also I made a pretzel out of playdoh.

Memories. Never forget but dont digress too much or you will never be able to move forward.'

Ciao,

Mirror on the Wall, What I do I love most of all?

So far, no wallet. But I have filed reports so lets hope it comes back to me. [urgh!]

Have Midterms for some of my classes coming up. Its so busy and Handbag Designer Meetups are upcoming as well as Comedy Improv meetings.

Yes, I like to be well rounded.

Anyways, back to lighten the mood, here some things I am so loving and they make me happy and excited just thinking about them recently.

So...currently nowadays what I am loving are:

Issey Miyake. The Avantgarde clothing and especially the perfumes. Especially this one:

The Issey Miyakie Eau D'ete Summer Edition 2009.
The smell of freshness of flowers and fruits. The smell of peonies, summers in France, and the market place down by the Terminal. Ahh~ I keep this baby in my bag at all times. When I dont have my The OC Perfume, Donna Karen Cashmere Mist or Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, I have my Issey Miyake Summer 2009 Edition.

Another thing I am loving is:

These Collabs. The Runway Relief Boots at Nine West & Christian Cota x Aldo Barbarito Boots.

Love this Barbarito style. Just my style and goes with anything.

The Runway Relief Boots. I can put money in that pocket and not be pick pocketed again!~
Both are quite high in price but with a little saving I can do it. Not right now due to my wallet being stolen but that's okay. Time to do couch digging for pennies and nickels. *Gurl...*

Also these Coach Cassy Lace up Wedge Booties. I tried them on in Marshalls. The perfect height good color. I have them on hold so I am picking them up by the end of this week.
This is the exact color nice right! Only 100$. Can you believe that deal?

And of course, I am loving Andy, Bravo Andy, Tramona, and the family over at Bravo Tv. They are so funny tweet wise and every time Watch what happens live comes on, the world stops. I have gotten so many replies and a compliment from Tramona the Bravo Turtle Time Turtle. She looks good this week in that pumpkin gig, WERK GURL.

Well, im off again to Jet Set into school and responsibilities.
Ciao lovies!

Wallets + Rhythm Zone

In other news, today my wallet got stolen with everything in it on the subway. ugh those pickpocketers. My ids, membership cards, cash money, and contact information. Plus my wallet pouch was the Rebecca Minkoff Stone Baby Blue leather one. Metrocard for the month was in it and my whole life. But I am going to try to see if the system does work to get it back to me. Already filed a claim and will file another one with police.

I miss her already. :(

And in other news, I am looking to audition with Avex to join the ranks. I would love to be in Rhythm Zone. I have always wanted to do contemporary with japanese :) Its truly the best sound. I love the artists such as Exile/ J SOUL brothers, Koda Kumi, Shinichi Osawa, May J., M.Flo, and Lisa. They are in Rhythm Zone division under Avex management. I would love to sing omg...many of their songs dominate my sound track. Not to mention my casual impeccable laid back cool style.

P.S. - I will get back on track. Ive just been so busy. And now my wallet gone, poses a longer problem to deal with.

True Blood Comic Book series?!

IDW and HBO® Announce First Ongoing
True Blood® Comic Series

All-new adventures in the comics based on HBO’s hit show start in spring 2012

[True Blood All Together Now Image]San Diego, CA (October 26, 2011) — Since the first issue launched in July of 2010, the TRUE BLOOD comic books have become one of IDW Publishing’s most popular titles. Fans of the hit HBO show were excited to have new, unique stories featuring their favorite characters. In an effort to give Truebies what they crave – more Sookie, Bill and Eric – continuously through the year, IDW and HBO will launch the first-ever ongoing TRUE BLOOD comic series in spring 2012, featuring new series installments each month.

“The comics are a great way to continue telling True Blood stories off screen,” said show creator, Alan Ball. “With this new ongoing series, Truebies will be able to find a new comic in stores every month. We’ll also have even more room to create in-depth drama and further explore the world of Bon Temps.”

Added IDW chief operations officer, Greg Goldstein, “IDW could not be happier than to move to this next step with our HBO partners. Since we originally launched TRUE BLOOD comics in 2010, fans have been asking for an ongoing series, and we’re happy to be able to work with HBO and offer it.”
[True Blood Tainted Love]
Following on the success of the New York Times best-selling first comic collection, TRUE BLOOD: ALL TOGETHER NOW, IDW and HBO launched the second edition TRUE BLOOD: TAINTED LOVE. In this twisted tale, co-written by True Blood actor Michael McMillian and comic mainstay Marc Andreyko, Jessica is exposed to contaminated bottles of Tru Blood, causing the lovely vampire to go berserk. It’s up to Sookie, Bill, Eric and the rest of the Bon Temps gang to figure out who (or what) is behind the bad Blood. Plus, Reverend Newlin is back and as always in the world of True Blood, things are not as they seem. Both TRUE BLOOD: ALL TOGETHER NOW and TRUE BLOOD: TAINTED LOVE are currently available in comic and book stores, and through the Apple iTunes and iBooks stores.

IDW’s third TRUE BLOOD comic series, TRUE BLOOD: THE FRENCH QUARTER is a monthly comic series currently available in stores and will be available as a collection in March 2012. THE FRENCH QUARTER finds Sookie and Eric in New Orleans tracking a killer, whom Eric and Godric thought they killed in Paris more than 200 years ago, while Bill is in town investigating a local Hep-D outbreak that may be connected to the killer’s latest victims. Meanwhile, back in Bon Temps, Trubies will wonder why Pam is hanging out at Merlotte's and what it is she wants with Lafayette.

TRUE BLOOD: ALL TOGETHER NOW ($24.99, 160 pages, hard cover, full color) is now available in stores. Diamond order code DEC10 0370; ISBN 978-1-60010-868-6.

TRUE BLOOD: TAINTED LOVE ($24.99, 160 pages, hard cover, full color) is now available in stores. Diamond order code JUL11 0370; ISBN 978-1-61377-019-1.

TRUE BLOOD: TAINTED LOVE ($11.99) is available in Apple’s iBook Store here: http://bit.ly/smqTIA

Cali Style and So Little Time

Dont you miss the times of So Little Time back in 2001-2002? Such a good set of years wasnt it. All about 10-12 years old then and loving learning about everything.

I was so in love with Olsen Twins then and still am now. I now separate them into Mary-Kate and Ashley, I always have but that feeling of nostalgia every time I watch these dvds gets into my head. That was a good show.

Especially the fashion back then, so cali laid back. Flip-flops and dusters. I still don the look sometimes.

So here is a toast to Cali.

If you think about it, its not just an era but its still a lifestyle, backed by brands such as PacSun (Pacific Sunwear), Op, American Eagle, and others.

But nobody does it like those three the most. True to its nature and the lifestyle still lives.

Stan Lee & New Age?

October 14, 2011-New York--- Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougas, founders of the graphic novel and comic book company 1821 Comics (www.1821comics.com), Comic legend Stan Lee, Founder, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of POW! Entertainment and his producing partner, President and COO of POW! Entertainment Gill Champion announced today that they are teaming up to launch a new family-friendly multi-platform imprint called STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE. With the announcement, STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE will release a series of new books, characters, and interactive games---all created for children.

The announcements were made during a special presentation at New York Comic Con where Dougas and Lee unveiled a sneak peak at the company’s slate of first five books. Lee and Dougas showcased a number of giant posters and images from the new imprint for fans and media. Lee and Dougas also revealed plans for STAN LEE SAVES THE WORLD a new interactive game that they are co-producing with Cosmic Ray Gun Creative Design Studio for the iPad/iPhone platforms. This marks the first in a series of games that they will be releasing under the STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE banner. STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE will release its first two books in spring 2012, both projects are from acclaimed illustrator, writer, and comic creator Dani Jones, and are titled MONSTERS VS. KITTENS and ONCE UPON A TIME.

Dani Jones’ MONSTERS VS. KITTENS tells the story of a giant monster and a tiny kitten who are best friends. Her second book ONCE UPON A TIME tells the tale of a little pig who wants to tell a story but keeps getting interrupted by a cast of eclectic animals.

During the presentation Lee and Dougas also showcased characters from three additional books that STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE is currently developing in association with Viper Comics and their founder Jessie Garza:

• “The Fuzz Posse,” a group of mischievous police dogs featuring an evil porcupine villain

• An untitled book based on an assorted animal rock band with a cool cast that includes a rooster, a parrot, a hippo, a rabbit, a pig and a monkey

• “Reggie The Veggie Crocodile,” a crocodile who loves vegetables and encourages kids to eat a well balanced diet

Commented Stan Lee: “Our main purpose is we feel that there aren't enough comic books or books for kids that really hit the target, that gives them excitement and humor together and are filled with surprises. We have a whole new group of new characters that the kids can call their own, just as the teenagers called Spider-Man their own so many years ago."

Paris Kasidokostas Latsis of 1821 Comics commented: “Our goal at 1821 Comics since we launched the company has always been to create high quality books for all audiences and it’s always been a dream to create our very own kids’ brand, we couldn’t be happier to be making this a reality with Stan Lee. With today’s digital distribution opportunities, our imprint is in a prime position for tremendous growth.”

Added Terry Dougas of 1821 Comics: “It’s a pleasure and an honor to be launching this new imprint with Stan Lee today at New York Comic Con. After years of working together, Stan, Paris and I identified a place in the market for a new fun family brand for children and we are looking forward to filling this void with STAN LEE’S KIDS UNIVERSE. This imprint will be releasing a slate of books, games and characters.”

Its nice to see Stan Lee take on another type of audience. Its always a welcome challenge to doing something new and different with respect to past work.

New York Comic Con Day 1 :Highlights and the high life

So I finished classes yesterday around 3pm just in time to head up to Javitz Center for that time again, New York Comic Con (and Anime Festival!). The set-up is much better than last year and where to go will always be confusing as there are so many booths, rooms for panels and viewings, and since Javitz Convention Center is sooo huge, you dont mind having your own little adventure in there.

I met some great people and got some good shots yesterday. I definitely love the new technology and the way it is expanding, so much creativity in one place. Its an artist's dream.

I especially loved visiting:
- Little Punk People
- Poppy Books
- Wacom
- Effigy Skateboards
- Plastic City - Super Rad Toys
- Alexander Pettergill
and Father Panik

Looked at Wacom and their cintiqs, tablets, and bamboos. Prices range from 999-3000$ but the functions are great with Corel Painter and Photoshop, you can do your work on it, prints, and many more. I did my own work. Such a step from paper, canvas, oils, acrylic paints.

Little Punk People is a team where there is a duo (I believe husband and wife), the wife is the artist who does varnishing and uses paints and sharpie markers to make these lolita and gothic style art pieces. I could not resist buying a shirt because it sympbolizes how I feel when it rains!

Then heading over to Poppy books,
I like seeing whats new and whats soon coming to bookstores, such a variety of genres, horrors, supernatural, and generally scary was what was out there. I also see the notion of a graphic novel for Twilight. (please, i cant.)

I stop in to take a look at The Avengers mock scene, it is quite a work of art. The construction of it must have taken a lot of work and the secretaries look real (well, they are actors!).

Then a look over at Effigy Skateboards, David Rankin is the Artist and Owner behind the whole storyboard. He started skateboarding when he was in his thirties (which I admire!) and had a conversation with him which was lovely about combining his l0ve of art with skateboarding. So instead of stickers on skateboards, complete artworks on your skateboards. Now that is a sick ride. I could help but buy a print cell of this beauty. Freedom with so much color. He did it in the spring time because he was tired of winter and the coldness, haha

Then over to Plastic City/ Super Rad Toys where I was the most amazing hommage to Glam Rock Superstar David Bowie, A lightingbolt rabbit head. I asked about it and so much detail and time went into it. When you feel it, the texture is just amazing and the lighting bolt is just the right color and position!

There are other pieces done:

Then I meander through the crowds over to see Lost Art Chains by Alexander Petergill, where he uses chains to make almost everything. It is so true that art could be anything around you.
I love the dog's chain wear. Can you imagine that on a real dog, it would be a BOSS.

Then over to Father Panik, the duo that goes to tattoo conventions across the US and the wear is very very cool. Well, uber cool gloves too. Lets say if you have a tattoo or not, they would look good no matter what.

And other photos! Thursday was a hot evening and night!

Pics from Marvel Super Heroes using the Udraw tablet to fight! Xbox compatible verion, not out yet. The idea is ultimate dimension fighting and using your drawing imagination with figures and shapes to fight!

Pics from some of the gaming areas, this was at Capcom or Square EnixI believe, there is so many booths you lose track.

Haha I loved this guy dressed as Goku in there. The guise of this is to scream as hard as you can. Get your rage to 100, as seen on the screen above. "your Asura's wrath!"

This dude made it to 100, I was like woah, somebody musta lost his wallet, caught his girlfriend oggling the superman bonker lookalike, or lost his VIP pass.

Pics from raccoon city game...

Then a look at Flip Mimobot collections of superheros, villains, Emily the Strange, Hello Kitty, and others characters that you could buy as your USB piece!

I fell in love with the sinestro one. Such detail.

I love the usb flash drives, I am going to buy one 4GB before the weekend is over. But they have various prices and various sizes. from 4 all the way to 16 GBs.
Then to another vendor who has CHAOS EMERALDS. These are real stones and he also has really cool figures that you can collect.

He was signing I think but I love graphics.

Figures at Hasbro

My UGLYDOLL LOVE CONTINUES...Its like every comic con I always take a photo or buy one.

They are not ugly just beautiful in its own way :D

Lol she is a toy! I want her!

Some crazy figurines at Hasbro and Marvel.

ULTIMATEEEE!

I wonder how look it took them to get into these..

Using good wood on Classic Archie. Makes him look like a boss. I love the pop artness of it, dont you?

The work space in the Press Room and Lounge..getting my details together along with idolizing my satire photo I did on the celtiq earlir.

WHO WANTS THIS!

Then I came across a delightful book about this girl who draws monsters and they come out to play more than once! Cute illustrations and good for a little girl. Look out for this one!

This is not out yet but it will be~ The Black Eyed Peas Experience, look out Michael Jackson and just dance! There is a new sheriff in town.

A little girl decides to have a just dance experience!

Here is a video featuring a few brave souls that went up to dance. Enjoy! Go Greggy!
