Updates and Galliano

Summer Music of the Day:

Common feat. Queen Latifah - Next Time (Just Right Version)

Well im currently selling on ebay so check out auctions under my seller name: rkatgayle , I sell various things such as accessories, dvds, clothing, and miscellaneous.

And I am proud to say im on week 2 of Insanity and Day 3. :) Im doing pretty well. Tired but gotta dig deep. On Turbo Fire, still on week 4. Dont know when Ill start it back up since Insanity takes alot outta you. And just got my Billy Blanks PT 24/7 set. 5 payments of $20 monthly. I need to decide within 20-30 days if im going to keep it. Hmm, sounds similar to my previous gym membership which is now defunct, since Ive decided to join Crunch gym since its near my volunteer job and university in September. So fitness wise Im keeping up.

IN the fashion world, I am hearing that Galliano will not be joined back into LMVH or LVMH, I mix up the acronyms. On that whole Galliano issue, Im not sure what side is correct. We should give Galliano positive messages and go to recovery because im sure everyone needs a break. Then come back and design phenomenal goodies, we can gallore and galavant over.

Remember when Tom Ford took a break on his name-sake collection and left Gucci back in 2002-2003? And look how coveted his things are. Plus his Cat Eye sunnies im dying over still.

Monday Look out!

I believe this is from Rag & Bone. Not sure what season but this is the look of the day.
Such a canvas that is beautifully created.
I like seeing different looks like these and not the same jeans and button down shirt and black tight dresses done over and over.

Thought this may be oldish, I truly think it lasts from season to season.
I can picture someone in West Village around Meatpacking having this on or someone in Lower East Side near Delancey street just strutting.

How about you? What is your vision.

Real Clothes + Japan Brings it

Japanese Actress & Model: Karina (Nose) whom I love, these are some outfits her character wore in Real Clothes. I just love the style over there of boots with shorts and skirts, I find that very flirty and fashionable. And the japanese arent afraid of going all out and prints or what not.

And the latest is Huge Glasses, Manga style.
I believe I am going to live in Japan one day. When I got my career down, I can expand to over there. Just gotta perfect my knowledge of the language. But I really would fit in there. :)

And that leads into our

Music Series Song of the Day:

Jazztronik - Real Clothes Theme Song (From my favorite Japanese Drama, Real Clothes about fashion, relationships, and Life Lessons about who you are and doing your best)

Insanity Insanity & Beachbody!

So, I decided to risk the pain and put in hard efforts and work into a harder body. So I ordered Insanity. This would be my seventhBeachbody product. The firsts being: Yoga Booty Ballet (which I sold), Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, P90x, Chalean Extreme, and Turbo Fire.

Now Insanity it added to my family. It was shipped pretty quick and I am currently on Week 1, day 3. Its a little difficult but you really have to dig deep, the workout pushes you, its motivation, and it tackles into your mental reserves. The same thing with Turbo Fire.

With Turbo Fire, I am on week 4, day 4. I restarted after too much idling going on when I was on week 9.

And P90x Week 1 for the longest time. (I think I am doing Core Synergistics too much haha.)

The three programs are intense but they work and my endurance has increased.

There is always the option of being a Team Beachbody Coach, but I dont want to. I want to help at this point w/o any repayment. Thats my deed as a human being.

New New New!

PIC: With my favorite Doggie Backpack, I shall had some strands to give it that Alex Wang Fall 2010 Sydney Backpack influence. And I call him Rupert btw. (Family Guy referencing is welcome!)

Been having a wonderful vacation so far, relaxing, adventuring, and buying. Plus job hunting, got an interview at a great Macrobiotic Japanese Restaurant. (Do your Google searches now ;) ) Kiddin. By the way, did you hear that Lady Gaga has shaved her hair. There isnt anyway in hell im giving up my shoulder length hair that I sometimes like to keep in buns and ponies. Or otherwise emulate Alexa Chung minus the Alexa Mulberry Bag in Pink Leopard Thank you.

But.....

2 things that I have always wanted came in the mail this week along with other things I bought last week (but did not feature them yet on the blog!). And my excitement is through the roof. (Picture the ongoing British joke on The Nanny, whenever Fran is in contact with Mr. Sheffield's friends and relatives from England, their emotions are hardly shown! LOL)

First up, is the Hermes Constance Belt. This one was a gift from mother for a job well done on the semester. With my new Old Navy Skinny Cargos. Move over J Brands.

And then the Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Lv Monogram Roses in deep pink. I practically could hide in this scarf but best of all, great on the beach with a pair of Ray-Bans wishing I was South of France material or better, Manhattan Beach Brooklyn material. Thanks.

Anddddddd from last week.

I finally got what my music heart desires:
Beats by Dre Tour Headphones
Hmm shiny :) The box emulates such energy. *hearts*

And a pair of overalls from Ebay (which are very summer and wishing-to-be-a-kid again appropriate), with a pair of Tory Burch Flip Flops, and the Vibram fivefinger sneakers in the Sprint Style! I was definitely very patient with them for a while but then decided to should get em and be done with it.

This is like barefoot running technology. I have used this pair for two times and I love it. Its really comfortable. I used to like the five finger socks when I was younger so this was a treat. And while im on the exercise track, I will be going to different classes throughout the city and have a fitness series too. Because I want to spread the joy of fitness and recall my journey of getting fit. So I am currently on Turbo Fire, on and off with P90x, and starting Insanity soon. I have other workout dvds, so I guess im a fitness junkie. I got home tools too. Push up bars and the works. ;O

And in other news, I have been on Purse Forum a lot! Starting to become addicted. Addicted like I was reading fanfictions and watching Asian Dramas (still am by the way). Those ladies (and gentlemen) have some amazing goodies and I guess I joined their leagues. Whoopie, give me a girl scout pin!

But yeah just updates on my time. As I said earlier, NEW NEW NEW.

Finally, music of the summer series.
"Built This Way" by Samantha Ronson (Was and still am obssessed with this song since that fateful prom scene in Mean Girls and the previous Mall scene in Mean Girls)

So can I imagine when I listen to this on the iPod Classic with the beats, and its blasting. Pure bliss.

Sasha Gacsal at large +Icarus

I dont think he is modeling much anymore but anyone truthfully remembers him?

At one point. He was featured in the Teen Vogue Casting Call blog which had so many models from big shots now to retirees.

Here is him at John Varvatos Fall 2006.

Lustful and vampire theme no?
He had an amazing jawline. They dont come around like that often. The last person with a good jawline was Brad Kroenig.

And finally song for the summer music series

I can help but fall in love with youuuu.....TARGET.

View from the BQE, heading towards the Brooklyn Bridge/ Manhattan Bridge exit.

So from driving on the bridge with a friend, we decided to stop at the Atlantic Terminal Target, which I love, huge and two floors of STUFF.
Lately, Target has been getting better and better. Though I wished they did not support certain things they do support and hike up prices. 30 bucks skinny crop pants? Please.
Anyway, enough of my rant, I saw tons of cool things there.

And intro to my sunglass series:
These gold rim babies. And you betcha that they have the tortoise shell colors on the side. Circa 1936.
Aviators die hard.

Ray Ban inspired but the purple color goes with my motif. 80s movies shall rule again.

80s revamped into 70s. I loved these shades especially.

Move over GAGA. But I would have to add 3 more shades on toop of these to full take over and wear a cutout swimsuit with 10 inch vivienne westwoods with blue hair to truly take over. (Without being tacky of course)

J-Lo on the 6. Remember these?

But yeah best part was glasses all aroudn or close to 12.99$ USD.

But they have one good belt. Summer times come back again.

And their bags have gotten better. I really like them. So cool.

And the Calyspo St Berth capsule collection for Target. Out of stores by now but probably on sale racks 65 to 70% off. It was a really cool collection for the beach. It was classic, playful, and subtle colors of blues, oranges, browns.

But then we move to hats.

Kentucky Derby missed me definitely.
GREAT for the beach and going around manhattan, with clothing of course. I dont want to take away the naked cowboy's job.

OUTFIT:
Hat: In Target (which I bought)
Necklace: Vintage via Ebay (wood carve)
Sweater: American Apparel meets Yankee
Tee: Purple Kiss my A$$ UK boy.

Neat bag. Does it remind you of someone? PS perhaps? I knew you would.

Headband game here is hot.

I missed the Royal Wedding. Of course. and of course, my hair was having a bad hair day on this same day.

PACSUN ad girl. YES?

Calypso jacket is goooood. 27 bucks very cool and the material is actually well made.

Belted dresses which I cared less about.
Maxi dresses which are lovely and especially good when your in the summer time, on the beach andtoes in the sand.
Calypso tie-dyes. 13 bucks.

All in all, Target is a really good time. I like their stuff they have now. Certain things are good prices, some are overpriced but Its all good. They have variety and thats what I like. They provide all sizes especially for people like me who struggle with thunder thighs like superheros.

And for my summer series song of today:

Mos Def- Umi Says

Love this song, just easy listening. Sometimes I am in the park with a blanket on the grass and then this is always on my playlist. Drifting with the clouds with this hit.

Well, the opening ceremony sale ends today. Take an additional 50%off the lowest price on stuff today. So whatever is left. Go and check it out. 148 Lafayette street. (Double Check website to make sure or check out their twitter)

Hopefully I can go again today but at this point I do not know. Hours are from 12pm- 7pm.

Time to get out my tory burch sandals and lands end boaters shorts to really kick off summer.
