Ill be there tomorrow doing run-throughs and enjoying the sights. For those who want more info go to newyorkanimefestival.com and then click on the main page, for where it says Japan Day! Itll start off with a Marathon and then festival goodies and cosplay fun!~ So head on down and maybe get a Bubble Tea? =]

O la la~ The Filthy Youth

So, if anyone has seen the show Gossip Girl, of course I have, I found out a new band that i like their music, its on myspace, through an actor on Gossip Girl himself. I know many may know who this is.

YUP! Its Ed Westwick, or otherwise known on Gossip Girl as "Chuck", the smooth sly dude, who seems to be a womanizer with rich aspects but is misunderstood.

He is the lead singer of The Filthy Youth. When I went on Myspace and search them up, i found out that he is the vocals. When I heard the first song, im like wow, then the rest and im hooked on it. Its like mix of The Cure, Velvet Underground, and Modest Mouse. (Well for me, i believe this is how it is!!!)

I cant wait til they have an actual album out but you can score some of their gear online, just go to their myspace website. Especially hear their two songs "Boy Dont Smoke" and "Pirate". Im planning on getting an awesome shirt that says "Im a Filthy Youth". =] OR something like that. <3

Toodles.

All of the boys and the girls in paris.... - Ladyhawke

Oh yesh, I was watching some Music video show which mostly features my favorite genre being indie, smooth rock, jazz, and dance music. Then I saw the video for Ladyhawke- "Paris is Burning", and i was blown away because its sooo catchy!~~ Plus this isnt even the first time ive heard it. It has been a hot song for the Paris Fashion Week and London Fashion Week runways. Chanel 2008 and Topshop 2008 runaway show featured this song! Plus I learned that her debut album was released last year, so I went down the music store and picked up a copy and now its like my favorite album. Another good song of our New Zealander Ladyhawke is "My Delirium" <3

I have a feeling she will be around a while with us. :] Plus it is known she has Asperger's Syndrome like other great singers such as Gary Numan, its what makes them unique and great musician. [=

Sakura Matsuri Festival 2009

For all who doesnt know what the hell Sakura Matsu fest. is, well its a time of year when the Sakura trees bloom and tell many different stories. Bonzai plants can tell us stories as well. This all happened at Brooklyn Botanical Garden on both Saturday and Sunday!~ Too bad i couldnt go to the Saturday one because J-pop star Ai Kawashima was performing her mini concert at the end on the Cherry Esplanade Stage!~
I went on Sunday were there was Japanese Folk Music on these long flutes were being performed. A lot of cosplay went on. Inside the conversatory, there were loads of plants and Bonzai plants in a special room with an ancient wishing well. (Pictures to come later. It was seriously great. I got to get authentic souveniers, meet interesting people, learn more about this fantastic culture, and it inspired me to work harder. Thus, im happy to announce that i will start sketching new designs and ideas again. My artist/ drawing block is over, due to this amazing experience.~ There may have been other Sakura FEstivals over the world but this one, is by the most amazing and inspirational! <3

Good Days, Good Times.
